Acda and De Munnik is the Dutch cabaret and music duo consisting of Thomas Acda and Paul de Munnik. Their lyrics are mainly about love, the beach, youth and life.

On the album Acda & De Munnik we are introduced to Herman for the first time in their debut single "Als Het Vuur Gedoofd Is." It is the story of Herman, who looks back on his life up to that point and comes to the conclusion that everything turned out differently than he had hoped, despite the fact that he has a wife, child, house, car and a job. The album also includes A&DM classics such as "Lopen Tot De Zon Komt", "Vondelpark Vannacht" and the now famous cover of the Jacques Brel song "De Stad Amsterdam." "Mooi Liedje" is perhaps the most emotional song on the album, in which the pain and loneliness after a breakup is sung in a very intimate way by Paul de Munnik.
